Posted on Treehugger: Pres-Elec't Barack Obama uses points made in the NYTimes article by Michael Pollan on agricultural sustainability in his interview with Joe Klein. The Pollan article, an open letter to the next Farmer-in-Chief, clocks in at about 8,000 words, more of a time investment than a Harlequin Romance novel. And much sexier.
But wait, Obama also makes tuna salad, says he used to cook a lot and claims to be quite good with Indian and Chinese cuisine. He likes it spicy, but the kids are still in cheese and pasta mode, as kids usually are.
Here is his recipe according to 60 Minutes interview:
tuna-mayonnaise-Grey Poupon mustard-chopped gherkins.
Can't argue with that. Although Ms. Tomato would add a little lemon juice and lots of black pepper. In fact, we are considering sending the cooking resume to the White House. Stranger things have happened...like cooking at the South Pole...AND getting invited back...
